European Microwave Week 2024 Preview

September is here, and the RF & Microwave World is turning its eyes toward Paris and European Microwave Week (EuMW).  This year’s Conference will be held from September 22 to September 27, with the theme of “Waves Connecting Europe,” at the Porte de Versailles Exposition Center.

EuMW is not just a single Conference, but a diverse platform that caters to a wide range of interests.  It encompasses the European Microwave Conference (EuMC), the European Microwave Integrated Circuits Conference (EuMIC), and the European Radar Conference (EuRAD).  In addition, it features three topic-specific forums (Automotive, Defense, Security & Space, 6G), Workshops, Poster Sessions, Short Courses, Technical Sessions, Awards, and a lengthy list of social events.  EuMW General Chair Guillaume Ducournau and his team have crafted an extraordinary week, ensuring there is something for everyone.

The Conference kicks off on Sunday, September 22, with a Workshop on THz Devices and closes on Friday, September 27, with a Student School on Radar.  You can find a complete listing of events, activities, and anything else you may need on their website, www.eumweek.com.  The Exhibition portion runs Tuesday, September 24, Wednesday, September 25, and Thursday, September 26.  Conference organizers expect over 300 exhibitors and well over 5000 attendees from around the world.

At EuMW, you can find a nice balance between work and play.   There is a wide range of social activities, including the Welcome Reception at the Convention Center on Tuesday, September 24, the fabulous EuMW Gala on Wednesday, September 25, and several opportunities for Young Professionals to meet and learn about our industry. These events are not just about networking but also about creating memorable experiences and forging lasting connections.

If you are coming to Paris, you should take time to enjoy all the City of Light has to offer.  Aside from the must-sees like the Eiffel Tower and Louvre, there are many museums, monuments and things to do.  Take advantage of the Paris Museum Pass (parismuseumpass.fr), which offers discounted and skip-the-line access to over fifty museums and monuments.  If you are in town on Sunday, September 22, many attractions are free to celebrate European Heritage Days.

EuMW is THE Conference for our industry in Europe and is not to be missed.

Reactel (reactel.com) along with our French partner, Elhyte (elhyte.fr), will be there at Booth 701C, and we look forward to building on the successes of past conferences.  While visiting the Exhibition, be sure to speak to the Maryland Filter Guy (marylandfilterguy.com) about your filter and multiplexer needs up to 67 GHz.  Since 1979, Reactel has been a leader in designing and manufacturing application-specific units that meet the most challenging specifications.
